Announcing his reconciliation with President Uhuru Kenyatta during the burial of his (Kalonzo) father Peter Mairu in Kitui on Friday, Musyoka expressed his willingness to cooperate with the ruling Jubilee party.

Musyoka added that he is willing to work under the president going forward, adding that no amount of condemnation would make him reconsider his decision.

“I think I will be Uhuru’s right-hand man from now on and I don’t want anyone to question me about it," Kalonzo was quoted by Capital News.

However, speaking on Radio Jambo's 'Mazungumzo Waziwazi' on Wednesday evening, Osianyi faulted the former Vice President for what he termed "falling at Uhuru's feet".

He added that Musyoka had relegated himself in the eyes of Kenyans, putting the respect he enjoys among them as a top politician on the decline.

"Kama mtu anayeheshimika, hakufanya vyema kujiweka chini ya miguu ya mtu mwingine (it was wrong for a politician of his calibre to place himself under a fellow politician in that manner)," said Osiany.

"Alichofanya, japo ni siasa, ni kujidunisha (though it might have been necessary politically, it was demeaning to himself)," he added.

Kalonzo's union with Uhuru came several months after opposition leader Raila Odinga's truce with Uhuru in March.

Raila and Kalonzo rode on the same ticket in the previous presidential race before losing to President Uhuru and Deputy President William Ruto.
