Kisii County Governor James Ongwae has reiterated that critics won't succeed to make him succumb to unnecessary pressure.
Ongwae confirmed that he will keep his ears closed throughout his tenure so that he doesn't listen to his lazy rivals criticizing his administration.
"Development is what I was elected to achieve and not listening to petty politicians criticizing my leadership. I am not going to listen to any critics since my ears will remain closed throughout my tenure," he noted.
The vocal governor assured that his office doors are open for leaders and residents to walk in and give projects which his government should give priority once the old projects are completed.
"I will only engage my rivals who will bring development ideas on board for the sake of benefiting the electorates but, empty politics won't have room since it is past politics time," he added.
He insisted that he is committed to leaving a development legacy once he leaves office in 2022.
"I want to leave a mark behind and be remembered by residents as the first who worked hard to develop the county once I leave office in 2022," said the County boss.
