Ford Kenya party MP Moses Wetangula has suffered a major blow after a Ford Kenya MP dumped him for Deputy President William Ruto.
Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka on Saturday publicly endorsed Mr. Ruto for Presidency in the 2022 general elections yet Mr. Wetangula has also declared interest to vie for the country's top seat.
Mr Onyonka maintained that Ruto has all it takes to become the next President once President Uhuru Kenyatta completes his second and last tenure.
"Youthful Ruto is capable of leading this country as the next President and without doubt, we should rally behind him because he has good development ideologies which will help in boosting the livelihoods of people not only in the Gusii region but, also across the country," said the vocal MP.
The legislator who decamped from ODM party months to August 8, 2018 general elections reiterated that Kenyans should vote for a focused leader to take over from President Uhuru Kenyatta.
"We can't afford to have a lazy person serving as President after Uhuru's term ends. Ruto is a better choice to replace his boss," he added.
