Ngunyi believes that Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior shall become Kenya's Head of State but at least after the tenure of Deputy President William Ruto.

While reacting to reports of Kilonzo's hospitalisation after choking while taking lunch on Wednesday, the analyst wished him quick recovery adding Kenyans need him alive to lead the nation.

Through his official Twitter account, Ngunyi said the Senator was a 'fine young brand' who needs mentoring to become country's sixth president.

"Mutula Kilonzo Jr is a FINE young BRAND. He should be MADE President after RUTO. But he must LEARN to CHEW before SWALLOWING. We NEED him alive. Be well My Young FRIEND!" he tweeted.

Ngunyi is popular for correctly predicting President Uhuru Kenyatta's win over ODM leader Raila Odinga in the 2013 presidential  election.

Through his famous 'tyranny of numbers' hypothesis, he observed there was no way Raila, with Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka as his running mate, would have defeated Uhuru who had Ruto as his deputy.

The explanation behind his prediction was that registered voters in Jubilee zones (Central and Rift Valley) were by far many than those in CORD-friendly zones, that is, Nyanza and Eastern regions.
