The second term governor on Thursday argued that Uhuru, who is keen on achieving the Big Four agenda will not cling to power after 2022 General Elections.

Mutua said the President is not dictatorial as he has been labelled by a section of politicians opposed to his leadership.

He stated that Uhuru will walk the footsteps of former South African President Nelson Mandela and ex-US President Barack Obama when he completes his second and final term in office.

Mutua's sentiments come barely a week since former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka said Uhuru could be the next Kenya's Prime Minister.

“I believe he does not want to cling to power through constitutional changes.  I'm certain H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta, whom I supported when all these 'new supporters' were insulting him and even planning for his ICC indictment and always baying for his blood,” Mutua twitted on Friday.

Mutua has expressed his interest in the 2022 presidential bid.

He had earlier asked Kalonzo and other leaders to back his candidature when that time comes.

Mutua believes that he has what it takes to ascend to power after Uhuru completes his term in office.
