Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama has denied claims that Gusii leaders were kicked out of Kisumu State House by ODM party leader Raila Odinga.
Nyagarama termed information on social media claiming that Gusii leaders were chased out of State House as propaganda.
"No one chased us from State House when President Uhuru Kenyatta was in Kisumu County for official duties. Gusii leaders walked out of State House in good faith to allow the President and ODM party leader to meet with leaders from Luo Nyanza," he said.
Nyangarama condemned a section of politicians who have been spreading falsehood about the meeting.
He maintained that neither Raila nor Uhuru asked the Gusii leaders to walk out from the State House meeting.
"The meeting was only for leaders from the Luo community. As Gusii leaders, we left the meeting so that matters relating the Luo community can be discussed. Local politicians should stop petty politics," added the county boss.
The ODM allied Governor urged residents to ignore political losers who are desperately suffering in the political cold now focused on spreading falsehood in Gusii region.
