Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has said that Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i and PS Karanja Kibicho lack effective security strategies.

In a video shared on his official Facebook page, the legislator raised concerns over the high level of insecurity in Kenya, especially Tharaka Nithi county where an OCS and a chief were killed. 

He wondered why there was no security personnel deployed in the region despite the presence of Interior ministry official, who is tasked with the responsibility of protecting the lives of Kenyans. 

The vocal lawmaker accused Karanja Kibicho and Fred Matiang'i of engaging in unnecessary politics of 2022 at the expense of important tasks assigned to them by the constitution.

Sudi advised the officials to strategize on how to secure the lives of  Kenyans and avoid engaging in useless political endeavors. He opined that the next elections are still very far.

On 30th April, a mob killed an OCS and a chief who were hunting for a murder suspect in Kiamaindi location in Tharaka Nithi County.
