1. Former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama
Former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama was once married to Agnes Kavindu. The two divorced citing irreconcilable differences. The ex-senator shocked Kenyans when he declared that the ex-wife was not even allowed to be laid to rest in the event of death since they were no longer an item as she claimed. “I very much want to talk about that woman. She is not my wife. We parted ways in 1983 in court but since I am a true African man who cares about the welfare of his children, I decided to get her someplace to live because she was struggling with life in Nairobi,” Muthama said.
2. Governor Alfred Mutua
The Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua was married to Josephine Thitu Maundu. The couple divorced over unknown reasons. Since then, Mutua and the estranged wife have been engaging in endless court battles over properties and custody of the children.
3. The former Makueni Senator late Mutula Kilonzo
The late senator was among the most powerful leaders before his demise. He divorced his first wife, the mother of Wanza, lawyers Kethi Kilonzo and Mutula Kilonzo Junior. The divorce cased was represented by the late Samuel Kivuitu. He later married his second wife Nduku Musau.
