From the onset, let me confess that I am an ardent supporter of Deputy President William Ruto and his 2022 presidential bid.
I come from a school of thought where hard workers should be rewarded and the DP is a workaholic; he ought to be rewarded through the top seat.
However, the earlier we, his supporters, accept the fact that Ruto will not ascend to the presidency, the better.
Ruto is a shrewd politician, a maverick planner, a skilled mobilizer and a gifted orator but he will never become the Commander-in-Chief.
Though many Kenyans in the hustler nation might be subscribing to Ruto’s politics, Raila Odinga will never accept the DP to become the president.
In 2022, Raila played the politics of locking retired President Daniel Moi out of power and in 2022 'Agwambo' will make sure Ruto receives a humiliating defeat.
It is Ruto who made Uhuru Kenyatta president in 2013 and 2017 and equally denied Raila Odinga the orgasmic feeling of becoming Kenya’s commander in chief – a price he has hunted for many elections.
As such, in no way will Raila accept Ruto winning it.
The gameplan will be to mobilize all the regional and tribal kingpins in a ‘stop Ruto movement’ that will sweep the country in a way not seen before in Kenya.
Ruto might appear strong and a front runner today, but when the real thing starts he will be finished politically like a young kid.
By then his group of rookie politicians will be running like a headless chicken!
