The Nairobi County boss who made a sudden visit at the hospital said the patients whose medical bills have been waived should be discharged immediately.
"I have ordered with immediate effect the waiver and discharge of all patients who have stayed in the hospital for more than one month, "stated Sonko.
The governor further listed eight patients who were among the ones who have stayed in the facility for more than a month directing them to be discharged.
Among them include: Carolyne Mwende, Virginia Mumbi, Mary Achieng', Cosmos Kioko, John Ngashai, Susan Wanjiku, Jane Wavinya and Margaret Oloo.
Sonko directed the County Health Chief Officer Mahat Mohammed to work with the Mbagathi Hospital Medical Superintendent Joseph Karani to make sure the order is executed.
