In a post on his Facebook page on Sunday, Mutua told churches that God does not need dirty and blood money.

"Receiving stolen goods is a sin. And the church is wise enough to come up with a formula of identifying bad money," he said.

Mutua also asked the church to question the source of the money being contributed by politiciams.

"As we celebrate mother's day let's ensure that we have a country that we are proud to call home.," noted the county boss in the Facebook post.

This comes days after questions were raised by a section of politicians in the country about the source of huge sums of money some politicians in the country are splashing in churches with some leaders saying that it's stolen money.

Politicians who have been put on the spot include Deputy President William Ruto, Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi 'Sonko' among others.

The vocal governor has been leading the campaigns against corruption and days back he urged the president to ENsure that every Kenyan leader goes through a lifestyle audit.
