Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati has continued unraveling details of the secret MOU between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his political nemesis Raila Odinga as cracks continues to rock Jubilee.
Early this week at Kenyenya in Kisii, Arati, close ally of Raila, maintained that constitutional amendments were part of the deal.
"I want to assure you than we shall have a referendum to change over governance style. People should be ready for that.
"Raila will be President in 2022 and President Uhuru will be the Prime Minister. That is what will happen," he said.
Early this month, Arati accompanied Uhuru and Raila separately to Kisii and Nyamira Counties.
But during an interview with the BBC, Uhuru dismissed claims that he is keen to extend his stay in office.
"I want to assure you that I will leave office in 2022. We have laws that must be respected."
Lately, Raila has been a frequent visitor in State House with Thursday's British Prime Minister Theresa May's visit reuniting the duo.
