A slum in Nairobi's South B has been engulfed in grief after a man’s genitals were chopped off by his wife on the night of Thursday.

Godfrey Namale, 45, is a cart puller.

He said that the incident occurred while he was deep in sleep at night.

“After job, I went out for a drink after a hard day’s work before I went back home and retired to bed. I suddenly felt severe pain in my genitals, before I saw blood oozing from my private parts. My wife was standing next to me with a bloodstained kitchen knife in her hand,” he recalled.

Namale said that he has been having issues with his wife in their marriage of twenty years.
