Garissa woman representative has finally come to the rescue of a deaf student who could not access his form four KCSE certificate due to huge fee balances.
Breaking the news in Saka town, Subow revealed that she had cleared all the arrears of Harun Ahmed, a former student of Wajir Special Secondary School for the deaf.
The female politician further announced her plans to sponsor three students from the area throughout their studies as a show of her commitment to promoting education in the area characterised with high poverty levels.
Subow further called on the locals to change their perspective on educating the girl child as a means of breaking retrogressive practices that hinder meaningful development.
"By educating our girls, the future of our next generation seems brighter and more brilliant," Subow noted.
Also during the meeting, the female politician addressed a number of concerns on the NGAAF kitty.
Among the beneficiaries from the kitty are students and several vulnerable groups from the town.
