Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua is among the most influential politicians in the country.
Mutua has positively impacted on majority of the residents' lives having improved the county's infrastructure alongside executing various development projects, thereby making Machakos County a better place to be.
He is also the Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader.
After defecting from the Wiper party in 2017 and winning the Machakos governorship with Maendeleo Chap Chap, Mutua has proven his doubters that he is a true leader.

Mutua has lately been seen working closely with his colleagues from the Kamba nation, governors Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni) and Charity Ngilu (Kitui) with an aim of uniting the region.
