Ichung’wa says that the survey was in bad taste and aimed at tainting the DP's image.

Speaking to journalists at Parliament Buildings on Wednesday, Ichung’wa accused the research firm of being used by some people to run smear campaigns against some leaders.

“Ipsos should apologise to DP Ruto and others over its poll that claimed that he is the most corrupt leader,” he said.

The MP said that the survey was in bad taste and geared towards inciting Kenyans against their leaders.

Ipsos on Wednesday released the survey that ranked DP Ruto as the most corrupt leader at 33 per cent followed by Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru a 31 per cent.

Governor Waiguru has since threatened to sue the research firm accusing it of if running a smear campaign against her.

The Kirinyaga Governor said that she has never been taken to court over graft charges.

The survey that was conducted between July 25 and August 2 continues to elicit reactions among Kenyans.
