As a tradition lately, Raila rarely fails to recognise dignitaries who share platform with him and even goes ahead to tag them in his posts. He has done that often with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

"Joined faithful at the moving and colourful installation ceremony of the new head of the Catholic Archdiocese of Kisumu at the Uzima University College grounds. Archbishop Philip Anyolo takes over from Archbishop Zaccheus Okoth who is retiring after a distinguished career," he said on Twitter. https://twitter.com/RailaOdinga/status/1084090531502874624?s=19

Of the eight photos he posted on Kisumu function, Raila did not feature anywhere with the deputy president. Earlier in the function, Mr Odinga had invited Ruto to address the gathering, referring him to 'Warrior from the mountain' amid excitement from the locals.

Contrary to this, Ruto on his part, posted four photos of him with the former Prime Minister, with some trending for the better part of Saturday afternoon.

"The Government values the prominent role of the Church in building bridges of brotherhood, unity and ministering the peaceful coexistence among communities. We will continue to support this noble endeavour that is a key pillar to realising development and the country's progress. The two are expected to face each other in 2022 presidential elections even though, Raila has often dismissed 2022 polls on pretext that it's too early to throw the country into campaign mood.
