A section of Kisii residents have reacted following a meeting NASA leader Raila Odinga held with KANU party leader Gideon Moi on Tuesday.
The locals mainly supporters of the former Prime Minister said his meeting with Moi is a clear indication that he is committed to unite the country.
"Raila's meeting with Mr. Moi is a good show that the country, after all, needs unity. Let him continue meeting leaders irrespective of their political parties to preach peace," said Arnold Ongeri.
According to Ongeri, Raila has all it takes to remain in politics despite his old age.
"Age is not the matter. Raila is still strong to contest for the presidency in 2022. There is no crime him meeting other leaders to seek support," he noted.
Charles Nyakoyo dismissed claims that Raila is planning to form an alliance with Mr. Moi ahead of 2022.
"It is time Raila should be given a break. Does it mean that he can't visit other people to pass greetings? Let him meet all leaders for the sake of peace in this country," said Nyakoyo.
Elijah Nyang'au urged Raila not to listen to what critics are saying and focus on pushing for the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
