A photo of ex-President Mwai Kibaki during the Christmas festivities has surfaced online and gone viral.
The photo captures the retired head of state with family members whiling the time away at a homestead said to be that of his elder sister.
Kibaki is seen in what appears to a normal village homestead which is totally different to when he enjoyed the trappings of power.

Apart from Kibaki being far away from the red carpet he enjoyed, Kenyans on social media also trolled him for ‘not helping his sister build a house’.
Netizens felt that it was a ‘shame for a president’s sister to live in such a wooden house’.
Others said according to the Kikuyu tradition and customs, a man cannot build his married sister a house.
