Speaking on live television, Mzee Yasin Jamaa bemoaned what he said was living under a cloud of suspicion on account of his ethnic extraction and religion.

He said that Somalis were also victims of terrorism and the fact that he had lost children was a testament to that contention.

"There are people who suspect as thinking that we are also terrorists. That is the problem we have. We want Kenyans to know that I have also lost my children. I am not a terrorist. Islam doesn't condone terrorism, " Mzee Jamaa said.

The Dusit attack happened on Tuesday and left at least 21 people dead.

Investigations are ongoing to determine how the attack was planned and pulled off.
