Vocal lawyer and author Miguna Miguna now wants Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris to shed more light into her dealings with Governor Mike Sonko.
The county boss recently claimed Passaris had been demanding money from him and provided recorded phone conversations and text messages to prove his allegations.
Sonko alleged the Woman Rep demanded Sh200 million to give to petitioners who contested his 2017 election win to withdraw the case, claiming he only gave her Sh10 million.
In an exclusive interview on Citizen TV last week, he also accused the ODM legislator of claiming double per diem for an event she attended abroad in 2018.
However, Passaris on Monday fiercely denied the allegations and asked the governor to provide evidence to relevant government agencies.
“I would like the governor to present evidence to EACC that I have claimed per diem twice. In the meantime, I shall go see my clerk and speaker to confirm that I have never claimed per diem for CSW 2018 (Commission on the Status of Women) in New York from the Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC) as the governor was claiming," she said.
Reacting to the public spat between the two city leading politicians, Miguna said Passaris was employing diversionary tactics to divert attention from the allegations levelled against her.
In a tweet on Tuesday, the outspoken lawyer asked the ODM MP to explain her secret financial dealings with Sonko and others such as her party leader Raila Odinga.
"Diversions. The questions are (a) How much did Mike Sonko pay you for your campaign and fraudulently as per diems, air tickets and hotel accommodations? (b) How much did you and others pay Raila Odinga? (c) How much did Sonko bribe you and Raila for the petition?" Miguna posed.
