The two have been at loggerheads with Keter accusing Ruto of plotting his downfall including a series of election petition cases.

And on Saturday at a funeral in Nandi, Keter revealed his secret phone call with Ruto where he reportedly told him that he is not fit to lead the country.

“Recently I asked him because he made a phone call accusing me of intimidating his 2022 presidential ambitions.

“I told him my prayer is for you not to be president because if you become one, other tribes will hate Kalenjin on claims that we are thieves,” said Keter.

Early this month, Keter emerged victorious in Appeals Court after he successfully managed to overturn High Court ruling that had nullified his victory.

Projecting himself as anti-corruption crusader, Keter has often bashed off Ruto’s handlers, at times labeling them ‘stupid and unfocused’.
