Former Kenya Premier League champions AFC Leopards have suspended it's Organizing Secretary Timothy Lilumbi.

In a letter to the newsrooms, Ingwee's management confirmed the suspension. 

"The management of AFC Leopards SC has forthwith suspended the Organizing Secretary, Mr. Timothy Lilumbi, for his alleged involvement in the fracas and pending conclusion of investigations and ruling by IDCC," read part of the press release. 

The letter also indicated that within the suspension period, Lilumbi and will not be allowed to transact anything or act on behalf of the club. 

It's alleged that Mr. Lilumbi led a section of AFC fans to attack the center referee after Nzoia FC equalized on a game played on 6th of January at the Kenyatta Stadium In Machakos. 

The club insisted that It is against hooliganism of any kind and they will fully cooperate with all the football stakeholder in the fight to eliminate the vice from our sport.

"We have instituted our own investigations and we shall make known our findings upon conclusion." Added Ingwee

Ian Mukhobi a member and also a steward at the club was also been suspended following the same fracas that was witnessed at Machakos. 

A few days ago, Football Federation of Kenya president Nick Mwendwa,  had directed Leopards to produce the hooligans who attacked the match official.
