The Governor of Kisumu County Prof Anyang Nyong'o has been discharged from hospital after being admitted to the Aga Khan University Hospital after he fell down and fractured his left arm.
A brief from the county chief's Communication Unit on Sunday, however, did not highlight the degree of the governors' recovery.
It said in a statement shared on its official Facebook page that Nyong'o had been discharged from the health facility where he had been receiving treatment from.
Among those who had already visited him to wish a quick recovery to the former Medical Services Cabinet Minister is Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya.
"Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya and also the Chair of the Lake Region Economic Bloc chairman this morning (Sunday) paid a visit to the Governor of the great county of Kisumu Prof Anyang' Nyong'o at a Nairobi hospital where he has been receiving medical attention," the statement said in part.
"They spent time together as he wished him a quick recovery. Apparently, the high-level visit came with plenty of rewards as news of Prof Nyong'o's discharge from hospital was received soon after his departure."
Oparanya was accompanied by his Chief of Staff Robert Sumbi and County Liaison and Partnerships Building Advisor, Andrew Toboso.
Nyong'o fractured his left arm in Nyeri County on Tuesday where he was attending the Second National Universal Health Conference.
He is said to have fallen down on a pavement and was admitted at the Aga Khan University Hospital.
