Nakuru senator Susan Kihika and Governor Lee Kinyanjui are engaging in political fireworks over the running of the county.
Kihika has been putting the county boss on toes over issues facing Nakuru.
On Monday, Kihika dung into the internet and scooped a clip where Kinyanjui was criticising ex-Nakuru governor Kinuthia Mbugua back during his tenure.
By then, Kinyanjui had been defeated by Mbugua and left to cool outside political circles.
As Governor Kinyanjui faces the nurses’ strike, Kihika reminded Lee of how he criticized Mbugua during his tenure.
“Three years ago, you challenged the then Governor (Kinuthia Mbugua) to cut down on his foreign trips and take care of the nurses. Nakuru County Nurses have downed their tools while you are away on a foreign globe-trotting trip,” Kihika said.
Kihika captioned the video: “Governor, kindly listen to yourself, this applies to you today. The internet never forgets!
However, Governor Kinyanjui hit back at the senator claiming that he was in the country as the senator claims he was globe-trotting.
"Gilgil residents should be happy that my visit in your area is now a 'globe-trotting trip'," Kinyanjui said.
