Leonard Kipkemboi Bett boasts os multiple talents as he doubles up as an athlete and a musician.
The World Under 18 2,000 metres steeplechase champion has surprised his supporters with a great musical gift.
Born in Bomet County in November 2000, Bett explored his musical talent while in secondary school where he recorded his first album together with his sister.
“One thing people do not know about me is that I can sing and I have done some songs with my sister,” Bett told Radio Jambo.
Bett says he uses his singing talent to reach out to people with the sole message of keeping their hope alive.
He says he takes his musical talent as a spiritual gift which he uses to reach out to people and give them hope in life.
“My sister and I started singing in high school and we recorded the first volume in 2016 titled 'Saet' meaning prayer," he said.
He says when you pray everything is possible and it engages talent which comes from God.
Bett will be representing the country in the upcoming championships in Aarhus, Denmark for the third time.
He qualified to fly the Kenyan flag at the world event after emerging third during the national trials behind Samuel Chebolei and Emmanuel Kiprotich respectively.
