Few hours after the ‘Taka Taka ‘ hit song was deleted on YouTube Friday, police have launched a manhunt for the singer Alvindo and his producer KRG The Don.
The viral video by the upcoming artiste caught the attention of Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) CEO Ezekiel Mutua who banned the song for allegedly promoting violence against women.
Alvindo and Don were also summoned by the board and they ignored the invitation and instead went ahead to produce another single.
KFCB on Friday revealed that police were hunting down Alvindo and his producer for failing to heed to government’s directive.
“The @PoliceKE are also narrowing down on the producer and composer of the song "Takataka" the Board banned recently for its misogynistic content,” read the tweet.
Mutua held a meeting with the office of Director of Criminal investigations over the case.
In another tweet, Mutua has promised to bring the two to book adding that they will serve as a lesson to other musicians producing such contents.
“The culprits will serve as an example that the war against unrated films and dirty content is not empty talk. There will be nowhere to hide for people who break the law with impunity in the name of creativity,” he said.
