Celebrated NTV Business anchor Laban Onserio has quit the Kimathi street news center, reports the Business Today.
Mr. Onserio, who joined NTV in 2013, has been leading the business desk and his exit is a huge blow to Nation Media Group that has witnessed exodus of accomplished journalists in the recent past.
In his departure message, Onserio, synonymous with his high profile business shows, wished his colleagues the best in their career.
"It is my final month at Nation Media Group, after a sterling five-year career which started in September 2013 and ends on 21st September 2018.
"This is a message to thank each and every one of you for your support throughout this period. I started out as a rookie in business and what we have achieved so far is by no means a replica of how we began," he said.
And in late September, Onserio is expected at State House where he will assume his new roles as Deputy Communications Director in Presidential Delivery Unit.
The powerful PR team was gathered by President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2016 to make follow-ups to his projects besides informing the public.
While at NTV, the Gusii-born Journalist, is credited for organising high profile business indications in both Kisii and Nyamira Counties.
In 2017, he moderated investors forum's at Kisii and Nyamira which saw influx of high profile leaders to the region.
