As the political heat grows across the country, a man on the heating rod is the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti who has been facing accusations from allies of Deputy President William Ruto over the ongoing graft purge.
Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has once again issued a warning to the DCI boss over his alleged tendency of intimidating the DP and his allied legislators.
In a post on his official Facebook page, the vocal MP reiterated his claims that Kinoti was being used by certain government operatives within the office of the president.
He had earlier addressed a media briefing in Eldoret town.
"DCI Kinoti asiwe ni mtu wa kutumika na watu fulani. Huwezi fanya kazi vile mtu fulani amekuambia kutumia simu. (The DCI boss Kinoti should not be a toy boy being used by certain individuals issuing orders using the phone)," said Sudi.
"Lazima afuate kanuni na taratibu za sheria huku akitekeleza mujibu wake wa kikatiba. Namwomba Kinoti aige mfano wa EACC ambayo imekua ikizingatia taratibu za sheria kwa kazi zake zote (He must follow the laid down laws in strict adherence to the rule of law. I urge him to follow what the EACC are doing following the law in their work)," he added.
Sudi has been among the key politicians who have been accusing Kinoti of being used by government operatives to frustrate the Deputy President and his supporters.
