“Not more than two-thirds of the member of elective public bodies shall be of the same gender,” states the bill.

Speaking on Milele FM's AlexNaJalas show, Ali said the bill lacks structure and conditions on which women should be selected.

The first time parliamentarian declared his full support for the bill, stating that he will vote for it.

However, he cautioned that lack of proper structure and conditions will make powerful politicians use women for their own good.

Moha added that women should not be spoon-fed.

"They should be left to hustle like other men, as there are many times the same women beat their chests saying what a man can do, a woman can do better," he said.

Other leaders in the country have also stated their support for the bill. President Uhuru Kenyatta, his deputy William Ruto, ODM leader Raila Odinga and Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka have declared their support for the bill.
