Speculations are high as netizens try to unmask two serving governor, a former governor among other top figures listed as 13 Kenyans involved in drug trade.
The list is with United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) after the individuals were named by the Akashas who have confessed to being drug trade kings.
The two agents are known to be swift anti-drug czars. They are expected to swing into action any moment and pounce on the 13 individuals.
Apart from politicians and dubious businesspeople, four judges, a top lawyer, and former top police officers are also listed as beneficiaries of the secret world of drug peddling.
Baktash Akasha Abdalla, 41, and Ibrahim Akasha Abdalla, 29, pleaded guilty in a Manhattan Federal Court to being in drug trade.
They also named the Kenyans who they claim are fed with proceeds of the drug trade to protect them and ensure a continuity of the peddling.
Vocal lawyer Ahmed Abdullahi said one of those in the list is an MP from North Eastern.
“Very strange that in the alleged list of drug peddlers/barons/pushers given by the Akashas to the American FBI/DEA…prominent politicians from North Eastern appear very prominent…strange world…strange world,” he said in a tweet.
Interestingly, Chief Justice David Maraga has come out to defend the judges implicated saying they are clean.
“As we have said before, we do not condone corruption but to have our judicial officers recklessly besmirched is unacceptable,” Maraga said.
