Garissa Township MP Aden Duale is a politician under political siege if the recent allegations leveled against him by Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria are anything to by.

Kuria is accusing Duale of blocking his bills and plotting his removal from the Parliamentary Budget and Transport Committees.

The vocal Gatundu South legislator also claims that Duale is a ‘poor’ leader and has failed to push the Jubilee agenda in the National Assembly.

On Wednesday last week, during a live interview on Citizen TV, Kuria claimed that the majority of MPs are dissatisfied with Duale’s leadership.

Kuria said that he is ready to push for Duale’s removal as the National Assembly Majority Leader.

Duale has, however, rubbished Kuria’s claims.

The Garissa MP has since termed Kuria’s allegations as pure malice.

According to political analyst and social commentator, Peter Ngure, it will not be easy for Kuria to push for Duale’s removal as the Majority Leader.

Ngure observes that Duale has the confidence of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.

“It will not be easy for Moses Kuria to push for Duale’s removal as Majority Leader because he (Duale) has the support of the president,” he said on Saturday.

Ngure further observes that the ‘handshake’ will save Duale from any attempts of being removed as Majority Leader.

Duale is serving his second term as the majority leader.

The Garissa MP has been calling on politicians across the divide to stop the 2022 debate and work for Kenyans.

He also maintains that President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP Ruto are in good terms and focused on serving Kenyans.
