Ngilu says that those spreading the rumours are enemies of development who don’t have the interests of the country at heart.

Speaking at Ikanga trading centre in Kitui Town on Thursday, Ngilu said that Huduma Namba will revolutionize service delivery.

“I am urging Kenyans to ignore rumours that Huduma Namba is devilish and instead come out to register,” she said.

The governor said the government cannot launch something that will hurt Kenyans. She noted that Kenyans will access efficient and effective services from government institutions with the Huduma Namba.

Ngilu also asked local leaders to sensitize residents and make sure they get the Namba before the expiry of the 45 days.

She equally rubbished claims that her government plans to victimize employees who fail to get Huduma Namba noting that registration is voluntary but insisted that it is good for every Kenyan to get the Namba.

A section of Kenyans has linked the Huduma Namba to satanic theories.

President Uhuru Kenyatta launched the 45 days countrywide registration exercise two weeks ago in Machakos.

While launching the exercise, the president said the system database will contain information of all citizens and foreign nationals residing in the country and ease service delivery.
