A middle aged man is currently being held at Manga police station in Nyamira County after he allegedly eloped with a form three (3) female student.
Nyamira OCPD Lillis Wachira confirmed the incident saying the suspect Victor Moracha who doubles as a boda boda rider eloped with the student who is a student at Rangenyo Girls secondary school.
"The suspect lured the girl with money before he eloped with her and went to reside at Etago in Kisii County. The girl's parents reported the matter to police and a search was launched," said the OCPD.
Wachira said the two lovebirds were nabbed after a search lead police officers to their hideout at Etago on Thursday.
"The two were arrested and taken to Manga police station but, the girl was released to go with her parents. The man is in custody and he will be arraigned in court to be charged for engaging in illicit sex with a school girl," he noted.
He warned bodaboda riders against luring school girls using money to have sex with them saying the law will not spare men chasing school girls for sex.
