Birech, a class eight leaver from a humble background is now earning big thanks to his business.

He completed his primary education in the year 2010 and had passed very well. He had a chance to join high school but because his parents could not raise fees for his secondary education he decided to remain at home after asking for assistance from his relatives but it was in vain.

"Life started to be difficult as from 2011 and I didn't know what to do. My younger brother who was at class three was sent from school for examination fee and my mother was just confused. She didn't know what to do as my dad was just a drunkard who did not care about our education," narrated Birech.

It was at this point that he decided to do something concerning his life and his brother's as well.

"A business idea came into my mind but I had no capital, I talked to my friend James about it and he promised to help me," Birech said.

After two days, his friend, James brought him Sh20,000 cash money, he was shocked but also grateful that he had finally gotten capital to actualize his business idea.

With the money, he started buying and selling milk to university students where he realized good profits. After sometime he started a mandazi business, a product that is in high demand at Moi University.

Birech says he now earns between Sh8,000 to Sh12,000 in a week from the mandazi business. He is now able to pay for his brothers' school fees.

He has a plan of opening g a retail shop in Eldoret town even as he hopes to expand his business empire even further.
