Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior has asked the Director of Criminal Investigation (DCI) George Kinoti not to relent in the war against corruption.
Reacting on the alleged loss of Sh21 billion allocated to Arror and Kimwarer dams, Kilonzo Junior said the tantrums being thrown by leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto is a clear indicator that something is not right after it emerged that some funds have been siphoned.
The senator argued that the leaders reigniting the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) takeover by Kenya Airways issue are only attempting to derail the investigations into the dams' mega scandle.
“The dams scandal appears to be the straw that broke the camels back. The Statements on KQ by leaders from Rift Valley appear to suggest that the pot is calling the kettle black! DCI should not relent . The truth is coming to the fore on all these mega deals in Government, “ Kilonzo Junior tweeted on Monday
Ruto has maintained that no public funds have been misused in the project as alleged by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
He has accused Raila’s allies of politicizing the war against corruption.
Ruto warned that the government's efforts to unravel the alleged dams' scandal will not bear fruits if the matter is not carefully handled.
