A man is yet to come into terms after a twilight girl tricked him and escaped with his mobile phone along with wallet containing Sh7,000.
The incident happened on Tuesday night at Greenland bar in Nyamira town, Nyamira County.
Peter Ondieki said he went to the bar for a drink with a woman identified as Nancy when the incident occurred.
"It was 9 pm when I found Nancy stranded outside the bar. I asked her to join me in the bar to drink beer. She accepted and we entered the bar and I ordered 6 bottles of beer," said Ondieki.
Mr. Ondieki said the lady told her that she was in need of Sh200 to send to her friend to buy vegetables.
"She told me she wanted Sh200 to send her friend. She grabbed the wallet, picked my phone which was on the table and escaped," he said.
The bar attendant Walter Onditi said efforts to chase the lady didn't give fruits.
"We chased her in vain. She has never been in the bar before. The disappeared into darkness with the phone TECNO WX3 worth Sh8,000 and a wallet containing Sh7,000," said Onditi.
