Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to dissolve his Cabinet over incompetence.
Kuria said life had become very difficult for Kenyans due to rising cost of living, and blamed Cabinet Secretaries for failure to come up with measures to cushion citizens against harsh economic environment.
“People are suffering, they have no money, there are no jobs. I urge President Uhuru Kenyatta to dissolve the Cabinet,” he said.
Speaking to the Nation on Wednesday, Kuria cited the recent ban on importation of some second-hand car parts as some of government policies that were hurting Kenyans.
The vocal MP claimed ministers have been receiving complaints from Kenyans, but were intentionally refusing to convey the same to the Head of State.
“Many bad policies are making Kenyans suffer. People are being pushed out of business as ministers lie to the President that all is well,” he claimed.
On the perceived lack of development projects in the Mount Kenya region, Kuria said residents should not point an accusing finger at Uhuru, but at ministers who he claimed had been a let down.
He accused CSs; James Macharia (Transport and Infrastructure), Sicily Kariuki (Health), Peter Munya (Trade and Industrialisation) and Agriculture's Mwangi Kiunjuri, of failing to initiate meaningful development projects in Mount Kenya, despite hailing from the region and holding key dockets.
