AFC Leopards managed to win the penalty shootout 5-4 and win the bronze against Ulinzi FC in a match played at the Kasarani Stadium on Saturday.
Both teams needed a win to at least get a consolation prize of Sh750,000 after falling in the semi-finals against Kariobangi Sharks and Sofapaka, who managed to progress to the finals.
Neither side could get an opener in the first half, as both teams resorted to a cautious approach.
Chances were few as the midfield was crowded on most occasions, and the wingers were quickly shut.
It opened up a little after the break, but still, no goal came until the 73rd minute when Leopards conceded a penalty that was executed well by former Ingwe midfielder Bernard Ongoma.
But the lead lasted for only ten minutes as Eugene Mukangula leveled matters to send the match to penalties.
AFC Leopards scored her goals through Ezekiel Odera, Eugene Mukangula, Salim Abdalla, Victor Majid, and Whyvonne Isuza with Isaac Odura missing the target.
Ulinzi Stars scored courtesy of Bernard Ongoma, George Omondi, Enosh Ochieng and Oliver Ruto with Dan Waweru and Abdallah Hamisi missed.
