Controversial Kenyan blogger, Robert Alai has hit out at Barrack Obama’s half-sister, Auma Obama after she criticised Luos for asking for purportedly asking for handouts.
Last Week on Thursday during an interview with Citizen TV, Auma asked people from the Luo Community to stop being impatient and desist from the issue of ‘gonya gonya’ which means give me.
“People are impatient. This issue of ‘gonya gonya’ (give me give me) should stop guys!” said Auma in during the interview.
Her sentiments seemingly never went down well with Alai.
On Monday, in a hard-hitting Facebook post lashed out at Auma.
He told her that she is in no position to lecture Luos on matters development when their own home looks like a "pigeon nest".
“Rita Auma Obama,is it you,Malick,Barrack or who in the Obama family who has been feeding Luos? Your own home looks like ‘od akuru’(pigeon nest) and here you are lecturing us about empowerment. You are literally a mournful beggar tagging on the coats of Obama and hoping for alms from the former president but here you call Luos a beggar,” read part of the post.
"You have no capacity to lecture Luos on empowerment when your own home looks like od akuru (pigeon nest). Nooooo. There are people who can inspire development. Eloquence, catwalk and permanent BLACK attire will never empower Luos," further stated the blogger in his tirade.
Auma who is Obama's older half-sister has founded the Sauti Kuu Foundation in Siaya, K'Ogello in Siaya County.
The foundation, she says, will alleviate youth unemployment and empower youths in Siaya.
