Kenyatta and Odinga have had a good working relationship since their public handshake in March 2018.

Speaking at Citizen TV’s News Night Show on Tuesday night, Mohamed said that a section of leaders in Jubilee are now fighting Odinga’s new found relationship with Kenyatta, because they did not envisage the handshake in the first place.

“Uhuru and Raila are reading from the same script. The ‘Tangatanga’ team comprises of people who had not envisioned a handshake, who use Raila as their bogeyman in rallies and churches over the weekends,” said the MP.

Junet was on the Show alongside his Kikuyu counterpart Kimani Ichung’wah who in turn accused Odinga of being dishonest in his dealings with the Head of State.

“The president means what he says and does what he says…on the other hand he is dealing with someone who he expects to be honest…but that is not the case,” said the vocal MP.

The Kikuyu MP is among leaders in the ruling Jubilee Party supporting Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 Presidential ambitions.
