Garissa
Women Representative Anab Subow has come out to deny claims that there is rivalry between Governor Ali Korane and Aden Duale.
Subow has termed as mere propaganda reports on social media that Duale has fallen out with Governor Korane.
Speaking to journalists in Garissa Town on Friday, Subow termed the claims as idle talk, insisting that the two leaders are in good working terms.
She claimed that certain political forces are working to create enmity among Garissa leaders.
“We know people who are not happy about the development going on in Garissa and want to cause rifts among leaders and residents,” she said.
The Jubilee Women Rep asked residents to ignore the ongoing propaganda and support their leaders on development.
She said that Duale, Korane and other elected leaders are united and focused on service delivery.
Last week, Duale denied having fallen out with Korane.
He said that he is in good terms with the Jubilee governor who has been caught up in several controversies.
“I supported Korane’s candidature in 2017 and he is my governor,” Duale said.
There have been reports that the two leaders are battling for political and clan supremacy.
There have also been alleged reports that Duale is siding with some MCAs who are pushing to oust Garissa County Assembly Speaker Mohamud Abbas.
Duale has since denied the claims terming them malicious.
