Led by Steve Arika, the leaders on Saturday commended Raila over his commitment to help President Uhuru Kenyatta to fight corruption in the country.

"I am happy that Raila is speaking in the same voice  with President Uhuru Kenyatta in the war against corruption.

"It is time as leaders we should be at the forefront in the fight against corruption which may hinder development in this country," he said.

Arika reiterated that Jubilee leaders should not see Raila as an enemy because it is through the historic handshake the country moved on after divisive elections.

Rachael Otundo said Raila's efforts in the fight against graft is a clear prove that he will not defend opposition leaders who will be caught engaging in corruption.

"I commend Raila for his stand on the fight against graft. His stands clearly shows that he will not defend opposition politicians who will embezzle funds especially the CDF money," she said.

North Mugirango MP Joash Nyamoko said Raila's remarks were welcome.

"We must stand up and support the handshake which has given fruits. Raila and Uhuru have intensified war on graft and therefore, we as leaders should back them up," he said.
