Machakos governor Dr Alfred Mutua has found himself in the midst of heated debate after he toured Nairobi county and promised to maintain and repair neglected statues.
Speaking on Tuesday in Nairobi, Mutua said that negligence of among other; Tom Mboya and Dedan Kimanthi statues in the country's capital, was a sign of falling systems.
The vocal county boss who has declared interest for the country's top seat in 2022 further shared his sentiments about the statues on Facebook.
Reacting to the post, a section of Kenyans rubbished his move and asked the governor to finish his job in Machakos first.
