Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i on Saturday received a warm welcome at Bomondo SDA in Nyamira County.
Matiang'i interacted with residents from his home area and prayed with Christians.
He appealed to locals to dedicate their lives to God and help the needy in society.
The CS also notified the public on the importance of security.
"I am ready to deal with all criminals and terrorists who are becoming a threat to our country. Members of the public need to work closely with police officers to help end criminal activities," said Matiang'i.
Matiang'i applauded police officers serving in his home county for their tremendous efforts of protecting the people.
"Despite the few challenges our officers face while in their line of duty, our people are secure. Cases of cattle rustling have ended in Nyamira and still, police officers will not rest to allow the cattle rustlers resume stealing livestock," noted the CS.
He promised to work day and night to deliver this country from corrupt officers in government who are syphoning tax payer's money contrary to President Uhuru Kenyatta's efforts to shun corruption.
