On Sunday, Ruto accused Raila Odinga of plotting to evict him from Jubilee by 'hiding' in the handshake politics.

"We know what he's after. His conmanship and rhetoric have no place in Jubilee. He will not manage this time," said the DP.

ODM youth leader Dennis Marube warned that the DP could distabilize Uhuru's government if he's not fired.

And party national treasure Timothy Bosire, insists that the DP is out to 'spread hatred' that could impede ongoing peace and reconciliation mission led by President Uhuru Kenyatta and Mr. Odinga.

"I have spoken about this even on newspapers columns. If Uhuru's legacy fails to materialize, then he should blame his DP. This is the right time to tell him off or he suffers the consequences," he warned.

Area ODM chair Richard Kaka added on the party's WhatsApp group: "Ruto has openly defied his boss by criticizing handshake. This is time for Uhuru to act by sacking him."

The Orange party maintains that the DP is using Odinga's cordial relationship with the president as scapegoat to quit Jubilee.

During his coastal tour, Mr. Ruto insisted that he's ready to 'humble' Raila at the right time.

For the past decade, Raila has been the supreme de facto leader in Gusii, a norm that Ruto is keen to distabilize.
