Speaking in Mbisyani, Kangundo sub-county, Machakos county on Friday, Ndeti said that the case is still pending and not open for discussion.

"The case at the supreme court has to be determined first before we can start talking about it. We can't start politicking about a case which it's ruling hasn't been made. Let's wait for it to be decided first then the rest can follow," said Ndeti.

She said leaders engaging in a war of words on who is to deputise her are creating a rift amongst the residents.

She called for calm as people wait for the supreme court ruling next month without baying for each other's blood.

Wavinya has lately been under pressure from former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama to drop her running mate Peter Mathuki in return for his support.

Machakos residents are waiting eagerly for the determination of the case at the supreme court to know whether there will be a re-run or Governor Alfred Mutua will be reinstated.

Wavinya had accompanied Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama and other Wiper leaders to a burial ceremony of Margaret Mwikali a Wiper nominated MCA.
