Security officers have arrested 11 bar owners in Kisii town for operating in the morning hours and being in possession of betting machines.
The perpetrators in police custody will be arraigned in court on Thursday to face the charges.
Kisii deputy county commissioner Mr Peter Mbugi said bars are supposed to operate between 5:00 pm to 11:00 Pm.
Mr Mbugi said that most of the clubs in the town are not adhering to the rules.
"We can't condone such behavior, let the bar owners obey the rules," Mbugi said.
He also reaffirmed that they are going on with the raids to ensure all cartels are arrested.
He asked the public to work hand in hand to ensure Kisii County is a zero illicit brew zone.
