Eleven suspected criminals have been killed in Nairobi in separate crime-related incidents.
This comes at a time police have heightened efforts to confront crime in the county.
The various incidents occurred in a span of 48 hours between Tuesday and Thursday in different places.
In one of the incidents, a police officer was killed and his gun stolen by a gang that escaped from the scene in Kayole.
In Kariobangi, two pedestrians were shot and injured while in Kawangware police killed four suspects after allegedly stealing a motorbike from a bodaboda operator.
Police reports say that seven of those dead were suspected thugs who were gunned down in two separate incidents.
Officers recovered from them two pistols and a motorcycle.
