The Croatia national team has donated their World Cup prize money to a children's charity
Croatia received Sh2.7 billions after emerging runners-up in the just concluded 2018 World Cup in Russia.
The donation will be channeled to underprivileged children to aid their summer holidays.
The money is given to award the players and staff who took part in the one-month global showpiece.
Croatia finished second after losing 4-2 to eventual champions France. France won the cup for the second time.
Croatia's wonderful gesture is not the first among European nations, with England players known to donate their match fees to charities.
The players have raised a staggering £5 million for a number of initiatives and projects since setting up the scheme a decade ago.
